I'm actually a loving fan of the Beautiful Creatures Series and have read the novels. Though I know the outcome in the original story (I'm not sure if the movie divurges or not), I tried my hand at depicting her as a cataclyst, should she turn dark on her claiming moon.
Originally I was going to submit a light version too but this style of painting takes a LONG TIME. Both entries would have had Ethan despite Lena being the main character depicted. I feel like her claiming has to involve Ethan.
Without Ethan, there is no Lena. Without Lena, there is no Ethan.

AN UPDATE ON THE CONTEST: IT APPEARS I DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE SEMI-FINALS. KIND OF WISH I HAD CHOSEN A DIFFERENT SUBJECT BUT...OH WELL.

This picture; it makes me sad. I love it; the detail is perfect and the body shapes and everything, but...it makes me want to cry. I love Ethan/Lena and I love how the story ended but I do wish they had, like, an alternate ending or something. You know? I still am in love with the art, though.
